The Viral Eukaryogenesis theory suggests that an archaeon or archaeons became infected with NCLD ancestor viruses resulting in Viral Factories that evolved into the nucleus of the last eukaryotic common ancestor ie. LECA. It is unclear if this infection occurred before mitochondrial endosymbiosis, during, or afterwards. However, phylogenetic trees of the shared and concatenated sequences of DNA dependent mRNA cap producing RNA polymerase II suggests that the event created FECA .. ie. the First Eukaryotic Common Ancestor.
The time of origin of the extant eukaryotic diversity was previously suggested to have arisen with LECA 1.4-1.2 Gya. However, 1.6 Gyr old Red Algae fossils, along with > 1.45 Gya Acritarchs create a model whereby the transitional Eukaryotic Cell ancestors arose from a mitochondrial endosymbiotic event 2 billion years ago. or 2.4 Billion years ago ( if fungus like fossil discoveries are believed to be true). The possibility of eukaryotic cell evolution prior to the great oxidation event 2.3 Ga suggestions that FECA was an anaerobe which arose from Viral Eukaryogenesis and symbioses of a Heimdall Archaeote with alpha, gamma proteobacteria, planctobacteria, and actinobacteria. Subsequently symbiosis with cyanobacteria created the Archaeplastida as well as secondary endosymbiotic Crytophytes, Dinoflagellates, Ochrophytes, Chloraarachniophytes, and Euglenids.

I suggest that All Major evolutionary events occur via Infectious speciation and Symbiogenesis . Infections with DNA transposons drove the diversification of eukaryotes.
II. Secondary Eukaryote + Eukaryote Symbiosis Period : Evolution of Euglenozoa and SAR
III. Metazoan Evolution involving transfers of embedded Transposable Elements . ( ie.; birds flying with attached snails containing parasites with transposon containing viruses. Or, flying insects with parasites and transposon containing viruses that influence distant speciation events ) My hypothesis is that DNA Transposons are responsible for major radiation events.(see bat radiations as an example )
